Topic: [lxss] it is transferable in Win2016

Unfortunately, this packet did not get neither in TechPreview, nor in RTM. Therefore I pulled out lxss from Windows 10 Anniversary. In the form of packet LXSS to pull out it did not turn out - the server did not see enclosed in servicing files, and register modification did not help. Most likely because I have no concept, as works Component Based Servicing. Pulled out contents. For setting it is necessary to copy files, to import keys to the register, and manually to add service in group. In Techical Preview does not earn - there too old kernel. I checked in TP5. Archive ~600kb. (The Instruction inside) LXSS it appeared surprisingly compact: - one driver lxss, consisting of two files lxss.sys and lxcore.sys (~800kb) - one COM service LxssManager consisting of a file of service LxssManager.dll and a stub LxssManagerProxyStub.dll (~300kb) and them MUI - two applications: bash.exe (70) and LxRun.exe (130) and them MUI Total hardly it is more 1. Amazingly. (Yes, I know about Simple and PICO processes). : manually it is not necessary to launch Service! It launches rpcss itself when from the request bash.exe comes. UPD: updates I will Spread only updates of files to archive above. Update 14393.206. The main driver (other changes are not present) was updated. Update 14936.1000. Insider Preview. All files were updated.
