Topic: disk read error occurred after update of insertion BIOS
The motherboard: asus p5n-e sli
The processor: Genuine Intel (R) CPU 2160 1.80 GHz, 2 CPU (s)
Storage RAM: 2046
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
The videocard: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 1
System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, the assembly 2600)
Updated BIOS from version 0505 (2007/03/16) to version 1406 (2009/11/30) then on the start screen the following error started to be written:
"CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded".
Dropped adjustments BIOS on default. Then no error with CMOS is present, but now after flashing of all start screens other error is written:
"disk read error occurred
press ctrl+alt+del to restart"
In what the reason can be, and how it to cure?
Already some variants, but all it like not about that: the computer did not fall, accordingly winchesters were not damaged, in a computer interior did not climb, any "incorrect setting of operating systems" were not, is equal as generally any setting, anything at all did not touch, except as soon as updated also its adjustments on default exposed.
Hard disks (3 ) in are defined all. The system is installed on from what I try to boot, is selected by the first in sequence.
In advance thanks.
I update the information.
The flash card is disconnected.
Screws are available the following:
SATA 1: Samsung SP2504C 250
SATA 2: Samsung SP2504C 250
SATA 3: Hitachi HDT725050VLA360 500
The Windows from Hitachi, but the main system on Samsungah boot only. At a choice of loading with Sata 1 or with Sata 2 - an error "disk read error occurred".
By the way, Keys F8-12 at all do not work at loading, do nothing. It is possible to come only in Bios by means of Del.
And still now at the first switching-on of a computer there is any error on the start screen:
"Warning! CPU has been changed.
Please re-enter CPU settings in the CMOS setup and remember to save before quit."
Further it is possible to push F1 and to pass, indifferently, at reboots of an error is not present.
Tried then to disconnect all screws from cables and to connect on one. At connection of the screw which has been connected on Sata 1 - an error:
"Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter"
It turns out, screws died?
Connected all screws reversely, booted on working (the truth, semibroken) Hitachi Windows (XP) - in "My computer" screws are defined, but do not open in any way:
"There is no access to I:\
The file or folder are damaged. Reading is impossible.
The disk in device J is not formatted.
To produce its formatting?
The disk in device K is not formatted.
To produce its formatting?"
Disks died also to program recovery are not subject?
It is interesting, as they could die from update and reset of adjustments of Biosa...
