Not absolutely understood conditions, but the font can be changed, if there is an access to an initial font in control. Concerning changeover of characters - if all word is deduced by one TextOut (or analog) is simple so not to change, it is necessary to intercept  and atop already to draw the. Specify conditions where there is a text which it is necessary to change?

The text is (is deduced) in pdf and, ,  by a viewer, therefore the font anyway will need to be changed/replaced to another. A problem in that to find a bold type.

Here, actually, the problem is not present, other characters like and are not necessary (or I not so you understood?) The text in the core - hieroglyphic.

Re: Conversion of a font to the fat

Tried by means of FT_Outline_Embolden from freetype to make the text more fatly, but even at small values separate circuits of characters (especially hieroglyphic) merge. For example at value in 16: Thus the font is not becomes much fatter. In the same Libre Writer the text becomes fatter, but not so strongly merge. The same font - Mona. Can they use any special algorithm for this purpose?

Hello, kov_serg, you wrote: _> Expand only on X (FT_Outline_EmboldenXY) Thanks, stood freetype the old version, this function was not. Absolutely on  did not begin to remove, stopped on a variant with value on height in 2-3 times smaller than on width (If suddenly to whom it is useful, for me optimal appeared - 8 and 24).
