Re: MSSMS and interface ADO

yoos;
To control protocols of a data interchange by means of SSMS it is impossible. It is required to use utilities of administration of services of the server. By means of SSMS it is possible to create only names of an input and to control the rights. It is possible to change adjustments of functionality of the server, but to ADO it does not concern.

Re: MSSMS and interface ADO

As far as I understand, MS ADO it finally - a superstructure over ODBC with which MS SQL by default works (years already 20 as precisely). At least, both that and another - products of one firm [img=http://www.sql.ru/forum/images/happy.gif]

Re: MSSMS and interface ADO

Question such - how to adjust the server, basis and access there through SSMS, and that after that to push in connectionString for connection discovery. That it  would open. And that to put it mildly the description to an exception, a type - authorization is not went right or the server does not exist. Against the accessible documentation not so helps.

If access to basis is here a working variant for JS (only IE):
var con = new ActiveXObject ("ADODB.Connection");
var constring = "Data Source=server \\instance-sql1; Initial Catalog=DB_name; Integrated Security=SSPI; Provider=SQLOLEDB";
con. Open (constring);
...
con.close;

No, not ODBC. A superstructure over an OLE DB.

Re: MSSMS and interface ADO

Let's begin with that as to me to register the new server through SSMS? Under the official instruction  does not work, "control of service" gray, the tag is designated by a dark blue sign on a question.

1. The server is registered not THROUGH SSMS, and In SSMS, only for connection ssms to the server and it is more for what. SSMS - same as all remaining client software programs, it is not necessary to wait from it for supernatural abilities.
2. Services are controlled from corresponding  Windows and to SSMS have no the slightest relation.

As to register the server?

In any way. For connection to the server no registration is necessary. Simply the server should work and accept connections. The link on FAQ under the decision of problems with connection to the server to you already gave.

ms sql is a service, to launch it it is possible as well as any other service.

In the list only
[quote =] a SQL Server, services of synchronization of control of versions

It it? It and so is launched, how with it to work further?
