Topic: goldengate deleted trail-files

gg 12
PURGEOLDEXTRACTS./dirdat/*, nousecheckpoints, minkeephours 12
fell and lay more than 12 hours
mgr cleaned the yet not loaded files
1) as from such to be insured?
2) it is possible somehow from  a source  the lost sequence of changes? (Taking into account that  are already shaken in ,  it is hidden in a reliable place and from the verifier it is remote)

1) Such should not be. MGR should not delete files if they are not used . Can you deleted  and during the moment when  the manager has been remote cleaned .
2) to Recover lost sequence is possible: recover archives, adjust new extract in new , position it in the past, look last SCN, processed , change a way at  to , launch with remembered SCN. Process uneasy to do it it is necessary accurately and with understanding.

Re: goldengate deleted trail-files

1) is not present,  did not delete. It all time  in abended.
On broad gulls  fell later, than the first disappeared file, but before its removal has been accepted.
And here the second disappeared is accepted after falling , and then ten more files.
And on a broad gull all of them cleaned -  a bug what...
Except ggserr.log broad gulls of cleaning where can be still?
2) thanks so approximately also imagined

Re: goldengate deleted trail-files

Whether instead of in nousecheckpoints there was a business?
"USECHECKPOINTS triggers a purge when all processes are finished with a file as indicated by their checkpoints. Basing the purges on checkpoints ensures that Manager does not delete any data until all processes are finished with it. This is essential in a production environment to ensure data integrity. USECHECKPOINTS considers the checkpoints of both Extract and Replicat before purging. Because USECHECKPOINTS is the default, it need not be specified in the PURGEOLDEXTRACTS statement. Manager obeys USECHECKPOINTS unless there is an explicit NOUSECHECKPOINTS entry."

Re: goldengate deleted trail-files

Yes, it it also is. I did not pay attention at once that at you this parameter
NOUSECHECKPOINTS
Allows purging without considering checkpoints, based either on the default rule to keep a minimum of one file (if no MINKEEP rule is used) or the number of files specified with a MINKEEP rule.
