And with the operator low () at it too it was not added :-)

uniqueidentifier is 16  an array, consists of bytes, that is numbers in a range 0-255
How to show this uniqueidentifier on the screen - application business.
You as can receive from requests uniqueidentifier, transformed to a line, and if it is necessary, transform it to the lower register function LOWER (), no degradation of productivity will exist.

Re: Type uniqueidentifier in the lower register

Here that such code gives, for example,

Select lower (r. GUID) as GUID

And if in heavy requests to get rid from lower () runtime noticeably is reduced.
For example, the driver, JDBC deduces at once in the lower register, and to me is necessary lower because results of requests are used for SOAP-inquiries and there the register already matters.

Transform at line on the client. On the server uniqueidentifier is 16 byte or 128 bits as to you already explained.

Or understand with plans of requests, or transform on the client.
That that to me is not believed that conversion to the day off  influences the plan, seemingly, you transform where that in request.
Show request entirely, show its plans with lower, and without it.
