Topic: GRANT ALL on

Remind , I did not know or forgot, there was a proof belief that tabular grant all includes only DML privileges (select insert update delete reference), and  was put - , the whole bag is produced. Parameter suitable I do not remember, and Google poor produces something, type "grant all produces all rights on which is with grant, owner automatically has grant option on all own objects." In steam of places there was a certain mention of sharing grant all on dml and ddl, whether but without a mention depends and on what.
It can  what, or I it in other Universe saw?

Re: GRANT ALL on

Possibly I did not understand on what you refer, I see the table of all possible privileges. privs I know about existence of others, a question on behavior "GRANT ALL on table_name TO user_name".
Possible, , variants:
1) the list of privileges included in ALL depends on any parameter or the version
2) does not depend, always full, it is simple memories at me were saved since the moment when I produced  from the user with "with grant option" on another's objects, yes and sat down in storage. Not often "ALL" it was necessary .
3) I the newcomer from the parallel Universe or from Pisa the messenger.)
Quite I admit that 2), as at me SIUD + reference, and last  in DDL, instead of in DML.

Re: GRANT ALL on

JoeD;
So and that it is not clear?

SQL Reference wrote:

ALL [PRIVILEGES]
Specify ALL to grant all the privileges for the object that you have been granted with the GRANT OPTION. The user who owns the schema containing an object automatically has all privileges on the object with the GRANT OPTION. The keyword PRIVILEGES is provided for semantic clarity and is optional.

Transfer with clarification: GRANT ALL gives all the objective privileges which are at the user executing a command, WITH GRANT OPTION. The object owner automatically has all privileges on object with GRANT OPTION. The objective privileges on tables slightly more than DML (the list under the link see). Those from them on which at the user is GRANT OPTION, it can give to another, as the list, and , through ALL.

Instead of  and expenditure e time for a post, are not easier-whether:

SQL> create table tbl (n number);
Table created.
SQL> grant all on tbl to u1;
Grant succeeded.
SQL> select privilege from dba_tab_privs where owner = ' SCOTT ' and table_name = ' TBL ' order by 1;

Re: GRANT ALL on

About it and speech, and about 12 privileges ("the whole bag") and about the grant  I in the very first message mentioned, not clearly whence I took confidence about the short list) Thought can about what parameter forgot. ("default_grant_list_dml_only=true"). Changed RESOURCE a role not so long ago, and fifteen years did not transit, the list of grants can also changed \expanded.

Re: GRANT ALL on

JoeD;
Yes open you to dock on GRANT. There there is a table of all  privileges - what are applicable to type of yours  and are ALL.

Re: GRANT ALL on

"Not clearly whence I took confidence about the short list" - to you what word from this not clearly? smile Probably at me ability to inform the thought is lost. Once again: I know about diversity of grants, as well as objects. About the grant  too I know. And how to look at current grants - too. To look that does  at arrival "grant all" at present possibilities is not present. Whether the question initially stood as "there was a list ever limited". Possible answers: yes, such in version  it was exact I know that was never restricted, at you or the rights not was, or glitches if used  Z there was such . Something else
How the answer "here the list of all grants" concerns it?
On techonthenet the list too is twice shorter, quite I admit, what the author of article was not cleverer than me but so at least it is clear that I try to ask?

Re: GRANT ALL on

JoeD;
You found c in which is not specified c Oracle spelling date. Privileges e very dynamical  but appear from time to time the new. In article privilege FLASHBACK which is not specified there was in 10G therefore it or very ancient article  a poppycock. And mine to you council - read to dock.

Re: GRANT ALL on

Found to dock from the seven as the oldest with which could face really, alter already then entered in  the list therefore for the lack of other judgements we stop on that that I had glitch or a lack of the rights. We disperse. All thanks.
