Topic: Help with a script on DB recovery through RMAN

There is  a DB  11 who that to me made a script on ...  broad gulls successfully ...
But the script on  from  is not present basis (googled week  and  that that the script is taken from a site  but commands or a script on  from it anywhere I do not find.
Help with commands on  bases!!!!  it is necessary   the decision
SCRIPT
run {
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK CLEAR;
CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE DISK BACKUP TYPE TO COMPRESSED BACKUPSET PARALLELISM 1;
RECOVER COPY OF DATABASE WITH TAG "whole_db_copy";
# Make an incremental backup of the database to the flash recovery area.
BACKUP CHECK LOGICAL INCREMENTAL LEVEL 1
FOR RECOVER OF COPY WITH TAG "whole_db_copy"
DATABASE plus archivelog;
DELETE OBSOLETE;
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT ' g:\backupdir \% T _ % s _ % p.bak ';
}
ON THE SOURCE WHENCE AS I UNDERSTAND IT WAS IS TAKEN
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/ba … nar001.htm
A.1.1.1.2 Daily Script
The daily backup script would look like this:
RMAN> RECOVER COPY OF DATABASE WITH TAG "whole_db_copy";
# Make an incremental backup of the database to the flash recovery area.
RMAN> BACKUP INCREMENTAL LEVEL 1
FOR RECOVER OF COPY WITH TAG "whole_db_copy"
DATABASE;
Assume that there are no backups tagged "whole_db_copy" as of the first day of this backup scheme. The results of running this script daily are as follows:
On the first day, the RECOVER statement would have no effect, and the BACKUP... FOR RECOVER OF COPY would create the initial level 0 database copy.
On the second day, the RECOVER statement still has no effect, as there is no level 1 incremental backup to be applied to the level 0 incremental database copy. The BACKUP command creates the first incremental level 1 backup.
Each day after that, the incremental level 1 from the previous day is applied over the level 0 database copy, rolling it forward to the time of the incremental level 1 of the previous day, and a new incremental level 1 is created, containing all changes since the level 1 incremental backup of the previous day.

gtimk4;
level 1 assumes existence at least one level 0, the script for it is?

5

Re: Help with a script on DB recovery through RMAN

gtimk4;
Also I do not see  for controlfile. The script which want to receive, is necessary for disaster recovery or for something another?

It was necessary even to climb in dock smile well and subtilized.

The BACKUP INCREMENTAL LEVEL 1... FOR RECOVER OF COPY WITH TAG... command does not actually always create a level 1 incremental backup. If there is no level 0 image copy backup of an particular datafile, then executing this command creates an image copy backup of the datafile on disk with the specified tag instead of creating the level 1 backup.

Re: Help with a script on DB recovery through RMAN

CrazyCat;
Upon it means that the increment collects from the only thing level 0 "from the beginning of times" and  from it is actually to lead anew all changes. If  small and  can and it is not critical.

Look in  there  at that that at  0  it the pier creates 0  then on  day does 1

Re: Help with a script on DB recovery through RMAN

gtimk4;
The purpose of yours  and an expected script ? That was for "to report and forget" or for recovery after failure?

What does a script of the author?

You forgot to read? The link to give on dock?
Precisely I know that it is stupid trolling from you, no more. Probably it became boring.

Quite right smile
Because you , and for certain read did not master sense))

The troll further, is your destiny.
The sense in the end of a script is not clear only
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT ' g:\backupdir \% T _ % s _ % p.bak ';
I suspect in places are confused the first and last line.

All because you )))
The last line returns an initial configuration of the channel as the first line does
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK CLEAR;

it you.
Logically in the beginning to specify where we want to add  instead of  parameter.

It you are not indifferent to me. At any case you try .
But with you chances a zero - such as you to a coffin remain singletons.

Directories  in recovery area it is adjusted
Line
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT ' g:\backupdir \% T _ % s _ % p.bak '; deletes  a file as   on disk I:\FRA\ORCL102
The script was written not by me... But it is necessary  basis from
Folders on a disk where   ARCHIVELOG AUTOBACKUP BACKUPSET DATAFILE

The correct decision of that?
What do you want to receive? For what scenario of recovery?

Here general-purpose  for DB recovery, but he demands adjustment for each separate case

run {
restore database;
recover database;

For example, such:

a DB Complete recovery at loss of all controlling files, recovery from a disk, redo are saved

executing command: SET DBID
run {
startup nomount
restore controlfile from autobackup;
alter database mount;
restore database;
recover database;
alter database open resetlogs;
}

On a test server create a test DB.
Esteem all documentation in section "Backup and Recovery"
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/nav/portal_3.htm
Try all variants  and restitutions.
If at once all not to master on English , buy the book in Russian, they already should be,
Or look for articles on a subject on google.ru: rman  and DB recovery
