Topic: There is a patch how to find kernel

There is a patch, https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel … og-4.4.114 What sequence of actions to define, to what kernel it went with .. apt-cache search linux-image? Not clearly, why 4.4  4.14 (https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/)? And how these versions correspond with sudo apt-get update && apt-cache search linux-image?

From what you took that it went?  looks at that that there is in  systems locally an update updates this  from not that where you saw that 4.4  4.14 at all I do not understand

Re: There is a patch how to find kernel

1) in  you or the expert and hold actual source codes of a kernel and periodically update 2) or the user then use only those updates that gives you the distribution kit ,   in everyone  is apt-get update... It also is intended for to track and update if the first you cannot independently make (to download a kernel  to install) that your point number two go on a site of the distribution kit look in what number of the distribution kit at you study what last kernel is let out under the given distribution kit and to run and look kernel patches which have no communication with kernels of distribution kits it is a deadlock way each distribution kit the can report in addition in kernel patches

"To install last  under the given distribution kit which precisely includes the given patch" Somehow so. Individual , the EC th, I am not going to transfer. Re: There is a patch how to find kernel

The distribution kit at you will to begin with be defined what? ? And further the distribution kit version number in the same  is necessary there are versions which are not supported any more (it is necessary to look on a site of distribution kits) if  is not supported any more. That probability that a kernel for it update zero so for you an output, or to pass to the new distribution kit, updating all system or becomes the expert and to pull  kernels and  a new kernel if it is a patch vulnerability , and you do not have  which you would distribute to users I this patch  more for the hosting companies was not soared at all that such 1  I understood, or it 1 percents?

Re: There is a patch how to find kernel

uname-a less/etc/... I do not remember there what that a small file with the exact version  if 16.04.03 LTS that it to 21 years  promise means it is necessary apt-get update / search kernel image to the same apt-get it is possible even to tighten/unpack without installing what to look through  and to hope that updates they update often I unfortunately did not investigate as often  updates the turnips or it is necessary to delay independently kernel.org the necessary version of a kernel and  as patches with kernel.org can not be stretched to  in apt-get to turnip is possible by the way and  that kernel that costs to tighten from turnip apt-get but  probably it is necessary hands instead of automatic machine to superimpose
