Topic: Than to recover section in 400?

Prompt the unformat utility of sections on HDD. There is a screw on 1. On it was three sections. One of them (~400, FAT32) is hammered by photos. At unsuccessful attempt to deliver Ubuntu,   all space of the screw in one big section. I removed at once the screw and any more did not use. But also to recover photos yet it was not possible. Tried a pack of utilities - without results. Only Partition Recovery five years' prescription gave hope: found section, showed files and the beginnings something there to rustle. But fell down with  an error. I assume that the data volume appeared is great. I plan to return to this task. Give advice, than to recover section in 400?

Hello, Mihas, you wrote: M> I Plan to return to this task. Give advice, than to recover section in 400? Even in mine  there are specially trained people who recover the data. Address to them is better. At them already both the hand is typed, and the eye, and tools all is checked up. Independently to experiment only after full . That is you take two screws: initial and target (target, of course, equal and it is better  than volume) and by means of the same dd  you copy a device entirely (dd  on the data, it simply block by block copies - though on one more block device though in a file...), you check a copy, you disconnect and only after that experiments with the initial screw. I from flash cards the data  with the help testdisk / photorec

Give advice, than to recover section in 400? R-Studio the costs money but there are versions and without . Independently to experiment only after full . You check a copy, you disconnect and only after that experiments with the initial screw. The COPY. In general, it is indifferent on what to put experiments, on the original or a copy, but normally old screw slow and with  (let it is not enough of them and they are hidden), operation with it will be very slow. The new good screw allows to work faster with a copy. p.s. Yes. Anyway, you will make a copy or not - one more new screw is certainly necessary where to recover.
