Topic: git file search

Downloaded a certain repository, with history. Once very much for a long time, in it there was the certain file which name is known. Then with a file something made - possibly renamed or deleted. I need to understand that with it made, where the code which in it was moved was, as it was transformed. That is at least it was necessary to find last  in which a file with such name, and further to look. How it to make?

Hello, koenjihyakkei, you wrote: K> https://stackoverflow.com/questions/720 … it-history This task more or less solved human means by means of TortoiseGit. And here is how about full-text query search on all  a repository? Also it is extremely desirable not from command line, and by means of GUI.

Is git grep, it is possible to make git log - stat | grep, and it is possible to launch git log - stat under pager' (normally by default) - and to search for file name on/filename XC> Also it is extremely desirable not from command line, and by means of GUI.
