Topic: Books on the general-purpose grammar

If I am not mistaken, Noam Homsky offered any beautiful theory of languages. It like not concept SPOM (Subject-Predicate-Object-Modifier), and more difficult theory in which terms "triangle" are used, "peak" and so forth This theory praised in the book "Language as an instinct". And where it is possible to esteem an essence of the theory popularly? Homsky I did not find suitable books.
