Topic: [VMWare] to Connect as a disk the host directory/disk?

Kind day! By the machine with Win-10 virtual is installed with Win-7, consisting of one logical disk () for minimization of a file with . By machine. The second (D: with all projects) it is mounted through a network on  the host directory - Win-10. At compilation of projects under Win-7 because of loading of the network interface and its service on a host it is impossible/is complicated operation in Win-10 as actually chtenie/zapis each file it is serviced 2-mja by flows (on one in  and a host). Whether there is a possibility to connect the host directory/disk not through the network interface? I did not manage to find that. Probably not there looked. Thanks.

VM> Settings> Options> Shared Folders you put Always enabled, you add directories, in the seven you put VMWare Tools. But as a whole I join council above. Or transfer source codes in , at the monitoring system of versions to have some work copies not a problem.

And precisely problem in the network interface? There and network cards should be synthetic (if is not present - put VMWare tools and change card type in adjustments VM on synthetic), and SMB effective enough protocol not to load system excessively. Another matter that from a disk all the same will be faster. It is possible to restrict in addition usage CPU of a host .

During project compiling in  all flows of a host are loaded under a knot and pages new the Internet on a host not read (do not open). Open only when  finishes the active processes. Parallel compilation of other projects on a host bole-less goes (the network data is not present).

They on  host machines which differently as through a network to connect it did not turn out In $ (TEMP) or where still inside  to place them I do not want, as there is place for  no file , in addition with these (big enough - some gigabyte) files work and from the host machine. An ideal variant on the host machine to organize a logical disk accessible to a host which without a network to connect to . Whether probably such?

And you all try.  gives a scoring when in flows the instructions using various units of the processor (for example in one calculations with integer numbers, in other with a floating point) and even in perfect conditions are executed (when one flow is occupied exceptional by integer operations, and the second floating point) when I some years ago tested it, the performance benefit was 15-25 %. In a case of compilation advantage, , insignificant. A problem that virtualizators do not distinguish a physical and virtual kernel of the processor so there is a quite good probability that when you selected 4 of 8 virtual kernels, at you the processor in compile time is loaded on all of 100 %.

Old under Win-7 do without it.
