Topic: After activation to recover standby

There is a basis on Oracle 11g a Standard Edition. Also there is standby a basis which is synchronized by scripts.
In plans check standby on integrity and urgencies of the data.
That is the basis is activated standby, opens also application generate what  the report.
How I understand after the basis has been activated it already in any way  and will not anchor as standby? Simply problem in that that basis weighs one and a half terabyte, and to copy all it again to me it would not be desirable.
What generally variants the decision of this problem still is?
P.S. Absolutely green I.

Re: After activation to recover standby

Whether probably to make test point (snapshot?) and then after tests it will be rolled away to this point ?

Re: After activation to recover standby

If the disk stand supports  - do  by means of a stand and create a clone which activate
If does not support - a quite good variant to lift ZFS on linux, on ZFS section to lift  and means zfs to make  and to create a clone which to activate and test
In each of cases  as worked and will work,   you do not break it

As at us it is made, I do not know. But open reversely as . All works.
As I understood according to the administrator, all transactions which are rolled away have been made from the moment of activation (normally them a little) and new broad gulls (time a day is updated) are then rolled
These are any new technologies of Oracle))), I am not familiar with them.
AFAIK
P.S.
The first of got articles in Google by words "how to open standby database in read write mode oracle 11g"
Open Standby Database in read write mode and again revert using flashback.

Leonid Kudryavtsev;
It also is necessary for me how to roll away all changes in basis till the activation moment?
On the server of a place is not present for a clone. And administrators of servers misers.
And tests it not only reading but also record (at least in my case).

Re: After activation to recover standby

You do shutdown
You open a DB  read only you (do not activate)
You check select
Again you launch

Thanks are finite but if were so easily, I asked our expensive developers about the rights necessary for report generation.
The rights to reading are necessary also.
All thanks, we will search alternative for variants of tests (simply reading).
