Good afternoon.
There are two "new", i.e. recently bought server HP ProLiant ML350p (Gen 8) on Xeon E5-2670 (2.6 Ghz), 16 Gb, and 6 disks SAS on 1 Tb. OS - Windows 2012 Standard.
The task to collect from them failover cluster.
There was a question of a choice of a shelf for storage (we will take  for the firm small, most important tasks is not necessary).
As a matter of fact one is important only  which consists of file set (without any DB etc.). It weighs 220 + Gigabyte and contains 800+ files, i.e. heavy in respect of discovery and brakes. Plus the second office works with it through Terminal Server.
For a shelf I consider pair of variants:
1. Adaptec SANBLOC S50 (360 euros)
2. HPE StorageWorks P2000 SAS (520 euros)
Plus as I understand, it is necessary two controlers.
Selected IBM PCIe SAS II (180 euros - new, for a piece).
Plus two cables - SFF8087 on SFF8470. And plus HDD.
Questions: whether correctly selected iron for a shelf, controlers? By what criteria generally to be guided?
What disks to take? SAS or SATA or generally to look aside SSD?

And there are alternatives more cheaply? As already wrote, most important tasks are not present, one  which works at present on ancient E5-2420, 16 Gb and Win2008. Brakes certainly, especially at discovery, but works.

And why in servers not to install fast HDD (10\15k, or SSD - as small), and for Shared Storage ( a disk to take NAS, any Netgear, with 10 ports) and through small 10 the switchboard it is all to hook on volume - will be budgetary enough.
P.S. In servers it is possible and not  disks to put, all the same any more on a warranty.

Now just the decision stage as how to implement on the future. We consider all variants. And I unfortunately in gland of type of shelves, a host of adapters etc. not especially understand, therefore carried out on a forum.
The primary goal as at wrote above, operation with the unique program, which as a matter of fact the big heap of files (800 files + 220 Gb). Now it lies on the old server and successfully brakes. At us two offices (in everyone on 25 users) and if one works directly more less normally the second sits on constant vpn to the channel through Terminal Server, and there brakes are stronger. The domain is not present, safety too. Taking into account "new" servers, we think to collect something more modern, with a backlog on the future + reliability to raise.

If I correctly counted, really is cheaper, plus the new equipment.
On two SSD on three physical server (two +) = 6 SSD (Crucial MX500 - 84 euros) = 500 euros.
NAS QNAP TS 431X-2G - 370 euros + 4 SSD in it = 340 euros. Plus the switchboard (Netgear XS505M) 350 euros.
Total sum about 1600 euros.
